4 Online Boutique Email Automation Must Haves

As a small business owner, it's hard to think of EVERYTHING you need in the digital world, but there are definitely some MUST HAVES that are on the list if you want a certain level of success with your online boutique (or any online store).

Thank You Email

This may seem like a no-brainer, but some sites and web designers just assume it's attached to your e-commerce checkout experience. For this reason, it's important that you make the first "purchase" on your site and check out the full customer shopping experience. If you find that you don't automatically receive a "Thank You" email after the purchase. Go to your web host and add the automation.

Shipping Update

Automate a shipping update email to send when you add shipping details (ie. tracking number, etc.) Customers want to know how long it will take their package to get to them. Lean into their purchase excitement and allow them to track their package.

Abandoned Cart

A potential customer visited your site and saw at least one item they wanted, so they put it in their cart. For some reason they left the site. Maybe they got distracted by a phone call or some social media app on their phone. Either way, they left before they made the purchase. This is considered "low-hanging fruit" for your automations. You don't have to do much convincing to convert them into a paying customer. You just have to remind them of the item (and potentially throw in a deal for incentive). You can program this automation to send a simple abandoned cart reminder or take it a step further and offer a small percentage off of the item as incentive to purchase. Either way, you've routed them back to your online store and scored a sale with little to no effort.

Apply these automations and make managing your online store so much easier! You will be creating new and loyal customers in no time! If you liked this article, follow us on Instagram to get regular small business tips!
